Manuel Arzallos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Robredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of UD Quiroz:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Morro SC:s goal. Urtats Usel kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Morro SC got a corner. UD Quiroz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Boñal ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 25th match minute, UD Quiroz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Minda Ruiloba to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Xove Videgaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Arzallos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Morro SC's Cristian Robredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Arzallos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Samaniego Beteta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Gustavo Boñal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Arzallos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored UD Quiroz's protests and gave Urtats Usel a yellow card for diving instead. Urtats Usel hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Xove Videgaray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Sabuco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Doria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Doria in the 52nd minute of play forced Morro SC's goalkeeper José Sabuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Sabuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Barbon, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Xove Videgaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morro SC's José Sabuco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Barbon in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute UD Quiroz were awarded a corner. Samaniego Beteta went to the cornerflag to take it. Mario Doria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Sabuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Doria in the 70th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes UD Quiroz got a freekick which was hit by Samaniego Beteta. In the 82nd minute, Edison Grandas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Doria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cornelio Barbon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Morro SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Morro SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
