After having played for 7 minutes, Vernaza Bacete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guando FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vernaza Bacete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Parrales Alborza hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Cotera Iruleta from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Lorenzo Merida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lorenzo Merida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zoil Orio in the 17th minute. Vernaza Bacete's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vellito Galindez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, CD Poato's goal looked a bit too open when Vernaza Bacete came free, but Vellito Galindez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorenzo Merida had great luck who in the 26thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ortiz Peso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Zoil Orio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Guando FC booed when CD Poato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Sagarteguieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Rechani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vellito Galindez. CD Poato's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lorenzo Merida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ortiz Peso, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guando FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cotera Iruleta was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Poato's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cotera Iruleta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guando FC's Lorenzo Merida did a great save. Zoil Orio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Merida made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vernaza Bacete to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Vernaza Bacete took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Vellito Galindez to make any attempt to save it. In the 61st minute Zoil Orio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Duque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vellito Galindez having to interfere. Ismael Sagarteguieta kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Juan Duque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vellito Galindez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vernaza Bacete, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, CD Poato's Zoil Orio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenzo Merida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Juan Duque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guando FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Duque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vellito Galindez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vernaza Bacete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Guando FC's Juan Duque sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vellito Galindez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guando FC's zone, Zoil Orio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Merida came out of the goal and Zoil Orio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
