UD Chiguinda's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Fontarigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Rellan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanco Lavega in the 91st minute of play forced Lechugal's goalkeeper Eugenio Rellan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lechugal's zone, Blanco Lavega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Rellan came out of the goal and Blanco Lavega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lechugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UD Chiguinda.
