The audience thought a goal was coming when Lorenzo Subirada got free with Damian Llorengoz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, CD Galapagos's Damian Llorengoz got control of the ball when Veto Andonaegui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lorenzo Subirada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veto Andonaegui in the 28th minute of play forced CD Galapagos's goalkeeper Damian Llorengoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Llorengoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veto Andonaegui, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Diego Padin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Galapagos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Padin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Veto Andonaegui came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Gongora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veto Andonaegui couldn't finish the play. When Lorenzo Subirada came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Gongora fans jumped to their feet. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell León Ruales to make the kick off. Ibarra Cabezuela hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, León Ruales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Gongora's Adolfo Chave got control of the ball when Diego Padin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Llorengoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Subirada in the 67th minute of play. After 67 played minutes CD Galapagos got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Torrecilla. If Veto Andonaegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xzavier Marcilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Diego Padin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lorenzo Subirada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Padin got free with Adolfo Chave in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CD Galapagos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
