Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, Alchipichi FC's Luzuriaga Rascon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Cordero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luzuriaga Rascon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Cordero having to interfere. Camilo Pedolles hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Bagui Baena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Chauliayacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bagui Baena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Esterilla Armea notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Alchipichi FC's Alfredo Redondo. Alfredo Redondo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CD Chauliayacu's Rolando Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luzuriaga Rascon in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bagui Baena in the 28th minute of play forced Alchipichi FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Redondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Alchipichi FC's Luzuriaga Rascon got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bagui Baena in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Redondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Cordero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luzuriaga Rascon's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Esterilla Armea struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Alfredo Redondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Chauliayacu. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luzuriaga Rascon to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Alchipichi FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Bojorquez. Bagui Baena scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Redondo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Esterilla Armea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Alchipichi FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hurtado Aoiz hit a great ball. Esterilla Armea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Esterilla Armea came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the CD Chauliayacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esterilla Armea couldn't finish the play. Hurtado Aoiz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A collision led to Alchipichi FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rodrigo Rodas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esterilla Armea in the 96th minute of play forced Alchipichi FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Redondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CD Chauliayacu had won after a very even match.
