The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ponce Gabi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iza Higuera's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Ovidio Masseda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Iza Higuera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponce Gabi was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute, Fidel Pelaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 17 minutes, Xano Borjas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Caiguas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xano Borjas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iza Higuera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ponce Gabi having to interfere. When Iza Higuera came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the UD Lluluch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iza Higuera couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Ovidio Masseda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponce Gabi was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 30 minutes, Fidel Pelaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Caiguas and the UD Lluluch players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xaven Lobera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Garcés Olanda made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, UD Caiguas's goal looked a bit too open when Iza Higuera came free, but Ponce Gabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Xaven Lobera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Garcés Olanda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Xano Borjas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Masseda made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, UD Caiguas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Pelaz to maneuver through the defense. Ovidio Masseda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Xaven Lobera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Caiguas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Lluluch the free kick. In the 76th minute, Xaven Lobera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, UD Caiguas's goalkeeper Ponce Gabi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iza Higuera. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Iza Higuera managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Lluluch's supporters rose to their feet, but Iza Higuera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ponce Gabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovidio Masseda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iza Higuera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ponce Gabi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Ovidio Masseda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
