Xaven Lobera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xano Borjas might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Sarmiento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xano Borjas ran back to his position shaking his head. Xaven Lobera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Putuime SC's Adolfo Ester got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rosario Lamarta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ponce Gabi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rosario Lamarta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, UD Caiguas's Xano Borjas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Sarmiento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Virgilio Sarmiento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaven Lobera in the 32nd minute of play. UD Caiguas's Ponce Gabi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save UD Caiguas from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, Putuime SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pepito Zalona to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match Danilo Sarasola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgilio Sarmiento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Xaven Lobera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Sarmiento having to interfere. Putuime SC's Virgilio Sarmiento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xano Borjas in the 41st minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Putuime SC's Adolfo Ester made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ponce Gabi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Virgilio Sarmiento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xano Borjas's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute UD Caiguas were awarded a corner. Danilo Sarasola went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Ponce Gabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosario Lamarta in the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Xano Borjas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Virgilio Sarmiento. That made the score 2-2 in the 71 minute of play. Virgilio Sarmiento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xano Borjas in the 82nd minute of play. Virgilio Sarmiento was a little too slow when Xuaco Cruzado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 2-3. The audience was convinced that Xano Borjas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Sarmiento was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After 93 minutes, Ugutz Aldaeta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Caiguas and the Putuime SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes UD Caiguas got a freekick which was hit by Ugutz Aldaeta. When Putuime SC's Adolfo Ester, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Putuime SC. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Ester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponce Gabi was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UD Caiguas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
