A collision led to Putuime SC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pepito Zalona hit a great ball. If Rosario Lamarta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Pruano's late challenge caught a Putuime SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Pruano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Samuel Pruano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iza Higuera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ovidio Masseda might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Sarmiento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Masseda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Lluluch's goalkeeper Garcés Olanda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Iza Higuera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Lluluch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Putuime SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Lluluch were winning 1-2.

If Rosario Lamarta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosario Lamarta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rosario Lamarta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garcés Olanda was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. When Domingo Berrio fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Putuime SC's protests and gave Domingo Berrio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of UD Lluluch booed when Putuime SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Berrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidio Masseda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Virgilio Sarmiento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Ovidio Masseda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Sarmiento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Virgilio Sarmiento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Masseda in the 91st minute of play. Putuime SC's Virgilio Sarmiento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Masseda in the 93rd minute of play. The UD Lluluch supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UD Lluluch would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
