Vincent Bribiesca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. James Carbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Vialpando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Cañaveral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Talaguapungo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zuzen Badas came free, but James Carbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramirez Virues to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Joaquin Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pital SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Carbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
