Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ramirez Virues took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Herrea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but James Carbo was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. When John Burset fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tahuaico's protests and gave John Burset a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Tahuaico got a freekick which was hit by John Burset. Ramirez Virues charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramirez Virues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Talaguapungo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramirez Virues. Xaven Erruz hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Valencia Olmo, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 20th minute Ramirez Virues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barros Largacha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Somoano in the 34th minute of play forced Talaguapungo FC's goalkeeper James Carbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xinaro Beteta hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Valencia Olmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barros Largacha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Carbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Herrea, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half Tahuaico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rogelio Herrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. James Carbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Tahuaico booed when Talaguapungo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ataulfo Thomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Ramirez Virues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Talaguapungo FC's Villagra Leira got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes in the game Weather Hoa got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Roman Somoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. James Carbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Herrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barros Largacha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramirez Virues in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Tahuaico's Roman Somoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. James Carbo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Roman Somoano took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised James Carbo. James Carbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. With a little luck, Talaguapungo FC's James Carbo got control of the ball when Roman Somoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tahuaico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
