Blanco Torrea was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Julia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Sanchez a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nunez Benitez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CD Julia's Moreno Marva. 1-0. After some careless play in the Sanchez defense, Teodoro Ursueguia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aguirre Ganzo. The Sanchez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aguirre Ganzo should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute Richard Arizcun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moreno Marva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD Julia's Moreno Marva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save CD Julia from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, CD Julia's Xzaver Cidiel got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Cristobal Tavarez came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sanchez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Tavarez couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Tavarez in the 31st minute of play forced CD Julia's goalkeeper Moreno Marva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Ursueguia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aguirre Ganzo having to interfere. When Carlos Sobejano came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the CD Julia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Sobejano couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristobal Tavarez made a kick off. A collision led to Sanchez getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nunez Benitez hit a great ball. Vernaza Abin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aguirre Ganzo. Sanchez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Cristobal Tavarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanchez's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Tavarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moreno Marva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 played minutes CD Julia got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Pedraja. Cristobal Tavarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moreno Marva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogerio Pastrana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rogerio Pastrana came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Sanchez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogerio Pastrana couldn't finish the play. After 66 minutes, Nunez Benitez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sanchez and the CD Julia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Sanchez got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Benitez. A hard shot by Vernaza Abin from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Aguirre Ganzo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Sanchez's Aguirre Ganzo got control of the ball when Teodoro Ursueguia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Teodoro Ursueguia came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the CD Julia fans jumped to their feet.
