The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 14 minutes into the match, UD Chuchun's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Ursueguia came free, but Luciano Planes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Quesada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Planes having to interfere. In the 23rd of the match, Dennis Muñoa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Moreno Marva got in the way and made a wonderful save. Dennis Muñoa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Moreno Marva came out and tried to block the shot, but Dennis Muñoa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. If Carlos Sobejano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Chuchun's goalkeeper Luciano Planes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Edmundo Quesada managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Julia's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Quesada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Planes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Chuchun's goalkeeper Luciano Planes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dennis Muñoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Moreno Marva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zoil Marty struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Moreno Marva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Chuchun. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to UD Chuchun getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Oswaldo Roales hit a great ball. Moreno Marva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoil Marty in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, CD Julia's Teodoro Ursueguia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luciano Planes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Xzaver Cidiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Muñoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Moreno Marva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Edmundo Quesada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Julia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Quesada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of CD Julia booed when UD Chuchun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Guera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Zoil Marty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Chuchun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoil Marty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Guillermo Guera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Chuchun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Julia the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, UD Chuchun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Guera to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Teodoro Ursueguia managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Julia's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Ursueguia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
