When Eduardo Salmanton fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zhiumir's protests and gave Eduardo Salmanton a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Zhiumir got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Salmanton. Osvaldo Vidarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Chucho Somiedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes UD Esperanza got a freekick which was hit by Zayveon Villafane. UD Esperanza's Graziani Alejandre got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Vidarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chucho Somiedo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, UD Esperanza's goal looked a bit too open when Pinto Ribera came free, but Cesar Oñatibia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of UD Esperanza booed when Zhiumir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ugutz Abeijon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Pinto Ribera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Esperanza's Cesar Oñatibia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes, Rey Dragranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zhiumir and the UD Esperanza players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Rey Dragranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Graziani Alejandre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Chucho Somiedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Graziani Alejandre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Oñatibia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pinto Ribera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ugutz Abeijon was the one to do the kick off. Chucho Somiedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Vidarte in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ugutz Abeijon in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesar Oñatibia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Graziani Alejandre struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Chucho Somiedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Esperanza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Vidarte in the 69th minute of play forced Zhiumir's goalkeeper Chucho Somiedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Osvaldo Vidarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zhiumir's Chucho Somiedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Graziani Alejandre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chucho Somiedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Vidarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85thth minute of the game Graziani Alejandre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zhiumir's Chucho Somiedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Osvaldo Vidarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Esperanza's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Vidarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chucho Somiedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Graziani Alejandre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Zhiumir's goal looked a bit too open when Graziani Alejandre came free, but Chucho Somiedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
