Edwin Nieves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlín Vellana in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Zeru Atauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vito Jaurigui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Nieves having to interfere. Arlín Vellana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edwin Nieves came out and tried to block the shot, but Arlín Vellana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. If Vito Jaurigui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of CD Chaucha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Vasquez:s goal. Edwin Nieves went to the wrong direction when Elias Escalzo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Zuberoa Burgoa fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Chaucha's protests and gave Zuberoa Burgoa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CD Vasquez booed when CD Chaucha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuberoa Burgoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. CD Vasquez's Vito Jaurigui got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlín Vellana in the 38th minute of play forced CD Chaucha's goalkeeper Edwin Nieves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arlín Vellana to make the kick off. CD Vasquez's Zeru Robredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xorxe Plata in the 52nd minute of play. Elias Escalzo, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 84th minute, Desiderio Palomares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee showed Boris Vilalta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeru Robredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Pena in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the CD Chaucha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CD Vasquez.
