The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The wind increased when Mauricio Llera made the kick off in the second half. Francisco Gago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ordóñez Miranda in the 52nd minute. Francisco Gago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ordóñez Miranda in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, UD Iruminita's Flor Nueva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Cotera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With an all-out effort, Chituca SC's Francisco Gago threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauricio Llera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Amador Yepes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
