A very good chance. Intriago Ribeira made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Javier Malpica sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Lopez Cazarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayrapungo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lopez Cazarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garcés Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ortíz Arganza's late challenge caught a Guayrapungo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ortíz Arganza helped the player get up and apologised. Ortíz Arganza hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Guayrapungo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chonta the free kick. Ramiro Criales kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urritz Valiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Intriago Ribeira having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Javier Malpica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chonta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Malpica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Urritz Valiño dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Intriago Ribeira, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urritz Valiño was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes, Guayrapungo FC's Xamo Arejola shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Garcés Silva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guayrapungo FC reached it. In the 58th minute, Carlos Lope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urritz Valiño during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopez Cazarez in the 77th minute of play forced Chonta's goalkeeper Garcés Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xamo Arejola during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chonta booed when Guayrapungo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xamo Arejola didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lopez Cazarez in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garcés Silva saved Chonta from getting behind. After 85 played minutes Chonta got a freekick which was hit by Valery Pizarro. Lopez Cazarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garcés Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Carlos Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Garcés Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Guayrapungo FC's Carlos Lope stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Garcés Silva stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Chonta of the goal.
