The tension between the UD Mayalico and the Ila players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adolfo Guizabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Castillo Valdero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castillo Valdero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zuñiga Ennecon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Uncal couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Matamba Villafana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in UD Mayalico's zone, Pinto Baizan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caicedo Tato came out of the goal and Pinto Baizan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zuñiga Ennecon made a kick off. Alberto Uncal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alberto Uncal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Adolfo Guizabal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Zuñiga Ennecon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Guizabal got free with Castillo Valdero in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Zuñiga Ennecon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 85 minutes of play, Ila's Pinto Baizan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caicedo Tato was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 89 minutes, Alberto Uncal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Uncal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Ila's Castillo Valdero got control of the ball when Adolfo Guizabal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adolfo Guizabal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zuñiga Ennecon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pinto Baizan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caicedo Tato having to interfere. The UD Mayalico players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ila from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
