Celestina's Lucas Riva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Celestina from getting a goal against them. Lucas Riva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xiao Goma in the 14th minute of the match. Geovanni Robleda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from España Cavadilla in the 16th minute of the match. Antonio Garate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. España Cavadilla scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovanni Robleda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, CD Zumbahua's Xacobo Sarra got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Antonio Garate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Geovanni Robleda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xiao Goma during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes CD Zumbahua got a freekick which was hit by Xiao Goma. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mario Vaquerizo struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Lucas Riva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Zumbahua. When Hector Caller came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Celestina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Caller couldn't finish the play. Geovanni Robleda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Caller in the 57th minute of the match. Xiao Goma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Riva having to interfere. After 62 played minutes CD Zumbahua got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Verga. After having played for 63 minutes, España Cavadilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celestina's supporters crossed their fingers, but España Cavadilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Caller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Robleda having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xiao Goma in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Riva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mario Vaquerizo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lucas Riva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Riva came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Zumbahua's Xiao Goma. But to his dismay, Xiao Goma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Lucas Riva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Vaquerizo in the 85th minute of the match. Hector Caller struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Geovanni Robleda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celestina. If España Cavadilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hector Caller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Robleda having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, España Cavadilla notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of CD Zumbahua's Geovanni Robleda. Geovanni Robleda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 97 minutes of play, Celestina's España Cavadilla made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanni Robleda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celestina's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
