Carabalí Murgia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Mechichi. Juan-Angel Rucabado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Chandivilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Alberto Chandivilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Juan-Angel Rucabado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Weterio Echandi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Angochahua SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Mechichi the free kick. After 17 played minutes Angochahua SC got a freekick which was hit by Weterio Echandi. When Angochahua SC's Alberto Chandivilla in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UD Mechichi's goalie prevented a goal. Yoel Buedo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejandro Ahedo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes UD Mechichi got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Ahedo. After a defensive mix-up in Angochahua SC's zone, Alfredo Arriola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carabalí Murgia came out of the goal and Alfredo Arriola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Chandivilla in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan-Angel Rucabado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Castro Altamirano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Juan-Angel Rucabado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Arriola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Chandivilla made a kick off. In the 55th minute Emilio Sejomill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carabalí Murgia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, UD Mechichi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cotera Rotaetamorga to maneuver through the defense. If Castro Altamirano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to UD Mechichi getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cotera Rotaetamorga hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Castro Altamirano sped through UD Mechichi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan-Angel Rucabado. The referee gave UD Mechichi a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Patricio Benito, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Angochahua SC's Carabalí Murgia. 1-1. Juan-Angel Rucabado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Chandivilla in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Pavel Baranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Emilio Sejomill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Castro Altamirano got free with Juan-Angel Rucabado in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alberto Chandivilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan-Angel Rucabado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Chandivilla in the 99th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
