Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) CD Santay's Rodrigo Barron started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, UD Alhajuela's Urko Ugalde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Urritz Santiso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Urritz Santiso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Villapol in the 9th minute of the match. If Urko Ugalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute of the match Igor Mardones sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Charro skillfully saved the ball. Vincent Villapol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urritz Santiso having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, CD Santay's goal looked a bit too open when Urko Ugalde came free, but Urritz Santiso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to UD Alhajuela getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Zambrano Canel hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Valery Bettencourt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UD Alhajuela's Carlos Charro didn't even have to move. In the 40th minute, Urko Ugalde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Alhajuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent Villapol to make the kick off. UD Alhajuela's Carlos Charro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Viergol in the 56th minute of play. If Rodrigo Barron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of CD Santay booed when UD Alhajuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zambrano Canel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urko Ugalde took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urritz Santiso. Urritz Santiso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Urko Ugalde charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urko Ugalde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Urko Ugalde hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Vincent Villapol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urritz Santiso was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 87th match minute, CD Santay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Guerrico to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, UD Alhajuela's Cruz Veraza tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Carlos Charro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Barron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Alhajuela's goalkeeper Carlos Charro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
