Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juan Olaondo started the match with the kick off. Luis Mesones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Lijo having to interfere. Cotera Villarinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espinosa Lavandera having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Cuchapirca FC's goalkeeper Espinosa Lavandera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cotera Villarinos. Espinosa Lavandera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cotera Villarinos in the 20th minute. If Juan Olaondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cotera Villarinos charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cotera Villarinos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Cotera Villarinos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Juan Olaondo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Espinosa Lavandera to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Juan Olaondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Tosagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Olaondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Espinosa Lavandera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luciano Lijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osorio Fandiño in the 42nd minute of the match. Juan Olaondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espinosa Lavandera having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Fabio Elguea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luciano Lijo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Mesones's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Luis Mesones recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luciano Lijo. Luis Mesones showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Luciano Lijo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Mesones, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Osorio Fandiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Lijo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Mesones in the 70th minute of play forced CD Tosagua's goalkeeper Luciano Lijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Cuchapirca FC's Osorio Fandiño made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Lijo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Cuchapirca FC's Amador Cabriada got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Cuchapirca FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Flavio Solloso hit a great ball. Juan Olaondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espinosa Lavandera having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klimovich Vagrande during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 96 minutes, Osorio Fandiño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuchapirca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osorio Fandiño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cuchapirca FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cuchapirca FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
