A collision led to CD Palobamba getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jacobo Rejon hit a great ball. Paulo Prus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xurdin Tovilleja in the 17th minute of play. After 26 minutes, Julian Oquerruri made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Trapasola's Zeru Elorza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nunez Cugurulls charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nunez Cugurulls the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CD Palobamba's Nunez Cugurulls got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Paulo Prus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xurdin Tovilleja's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Ambrossi Serrano charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrossi Serrano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Prus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xurdin Tovilleja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almandoz Cañellas in the 47th minute of play forced CD Palobamba's goalkeeper Paulo Prus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Almandoz Cañellas made a kick off. Mora Cevallos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeru Elorza having to interfere. If Mora Cevallos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lorenzo Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Trapasola booed when CD Palobamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos-Armando Alcain didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Urti Arenas came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Trapasola fans jumped to their feet. In the 63rdth minute of the game Julian Oquerruri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trapasola's Zeru Elorza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CD Palobamba's Mora Cevallos got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lopez Balpuesta kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Xurdin Tovilleja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, CD Palobamba's Paulo Prus got control of the ball when Xurdin Tovilleja tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julian Oquerruri hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Trapasola players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CD Palobamba.
