Xines Cid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erick Temes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After 6 played minutes UD Uchucay got a freekick which was hit by Arias Cuadro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xines Cid in the 7th minute of play forced UD Uchucay's goalkeeper Erick Temes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Rubian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Escamilla's late challenge caught a UD Shota's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Escamilla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, UD Uchucay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Escamilla to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, UD Shota's Pavel Carana tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 20 played minutes UD Uchucay got a freekick which was hit by García Pumeral. UD Uchucay's Mauro Rubian got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xeromo Bejarano hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 39 minutes UD Shota's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Urtungo Balaguer who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Marcelo Fonte almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but UD Shota's Xacintu Movellan did a great save. The corner led to UD Uchucay's Mauro Rubian getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of UD Uchucay booed when UD Shota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zamora Purrigimon didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Marcelo Fonte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcelo Fonte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xacintu Movellan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Rubian, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Xacobo Basozabal hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Arias Cuadro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Uchucay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Shota the free kick. With his leg Erick Temes managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when UD Shota's Zamora Purrigimon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 68 minutes into the game, UD Uchucay's Mauro Rubian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xacintu Movellan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Erick Temes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zamora Purrigimon in the 76th minute. Zamora Purrigimon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Zamora Purrigimon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Shota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zamora Purrigimon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessandro Lerena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Fonte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xacintu Movellan having to interfere. UD Shota's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
