An unexpectedly hard shot by Cotera Ariza in the 9th minute of play forced Sordeleg SC's goalkeeper Torres Ceballo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Tuesta hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Lavalle Albarellos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Torra, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Dominguez Costoya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lavalle Albarellos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xuaco Silvestre got free with Torres Ceballo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cotera Ariza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Cotera Ariza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torres Ceballo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xuaco Silvestre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torres Ceballo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Torres Ceballo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cotera Ariza in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Cotera Ariza made a precise shot to the right of Torres Ceballo. Sordeleg SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugenio Torra to make the kick off. Dominguez Costoya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominguez Costoya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lavalle Albarellos having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Sordeleg SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cotera Ariza came free, but Torres Ceballo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Xuaco Silvestre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvio Vegas kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match.
