The Oasis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidio Gabaldon should have stopped the shot. Torres Ceballo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salomon Monsagrati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torres Ceballo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Marroquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The referee showed Marcos Carmenes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Oasis FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Carmenes. When Dominguez Costoya came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sordeleg SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominguez Costoya couldn't finish the play. Dominguez Costoya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ovidio Gabaldon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sordeleg SC's zone, Salomon Monsagrati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torres Ceballo came out of the goal and Salomon Monsagrati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominguez Costoya in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ovidio Gabaldon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

If Dominguez Costoya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Dominguez Costoya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Gabaldon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
