Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anangonó Taranco got the match started through his kick off. When Pablo Menendez came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the GUAYAS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Menendez couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute Anangonó Taranco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Villadiego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suscal Betancia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Suscal Betancia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Quiñónez Villadiego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anangonó Taranco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quiñónez Villadiego came out and tried to block the shot, but Anangonó Taranco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Anangonó Taranco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Quiñónez Villadiego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in GUAYAS F.C's zone, Suscal Betancia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quiñónez Villadiego came out of the goal and Suscal Betancia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 minutes, Victor Mendiola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hiroshima 1945 and the GUAYAS F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Denis Zaldain came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the GUAYAS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Zaldain couldn't finish the play. GUAYAS F.C's Quiñónez Villadiego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save GUAYAS F.C from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anangonó Taranco in the 39th minute of play forced GUAYAS F.C's goalkeeper Quiñónez Villadiego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Anangonó Taranco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hiroshima 1945's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anangonó Taranco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Munet kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Pablo Menendez made the kick off in the second half. Quiñónez Villadiego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anangonó Taranco's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Quiñónez Villadiego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Suscal Betancia went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Quiñónez Villadiego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anangonó Taranco, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Anangonó Taranco might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quiñónez Villadiego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anangonó Taranco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind GUAYAS F.C's goalkeeper Quiñónez Villadiego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hiroshima 1945's Leo Vendrell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Hiroshima 1945 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anangonó Taranco in the 82nd minute of play forced GUAYAS F.C's goalkeeper Quiñónez Villadiego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Hiroshima 1945's Suscal Betancia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quiñónez Villadiego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Pablo Menendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Vendrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
