Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Urtun Pañizares made the kick off and thus started the match. When Urtun Pañizares came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the CD Pitayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urtun Pañizares couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chacal Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilmer Barraza was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Pitayo's players had a chance to rest. Estevez Braña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Chacal Futbol Club booed when CD Pitayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtun Pañizares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urtun Pañizares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chacal Futbol Club's Nicolás Rello got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 played minutes CD Pitayo got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Barraza. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Xavier Garabito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacal Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Garabito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javier Boiso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Estevez Braña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Javier Boiso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Estevez Braña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Borica hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Estevez Braña to make the kick off. CD Pitayo's Javier Boiso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estevez Braña in the 53rd minute of play. When Miguel Sanchez fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Pitayo's protests and gave Miguel Sanchez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, one of CD Pitayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Pitayo. 65 minutes into the match, Chacal Futbol Club's Nicolás Rello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Boiso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Xavier Garabito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Viviano Vara made a precise shot to the right of Ubendu Trasgallo. Chacal Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gilmar Pola hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Urtun Pañizares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viviano Vara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ubendu Trasgallo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
