Tegapulo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Ureta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José-Manuel Maltrana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José-Manuel Maltrana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Larrategui, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Xzavion Lejarazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Santiago Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veto Ascarza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of CD Quevedo booed when Tegapulo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Feruel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixto Larrategui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tegapulo SC's Luis Chicoime got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Tegapulo SC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luis Chicoime hit a great ball. Xzavion Lejarazu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Federico Reigada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Segundo Ureta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José-Manuel Maltrana having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sixto Larrategui made a kick off. Tegapulo SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Veto Ascarza 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. José-Manuel Maltrana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Chicoime in the 59th minute of the match. Segundo Ureta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Sixto Larrategui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José-Manuel Maltrana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Segundo Ureta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 93 played minutes, CD Quevedo's Bernardo Espinar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CD Quevedo reached it. Veto Ascarza struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Santiago Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Quevedo. Tegapulo SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
