Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Escobar Larrategui started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Fernando Elosua got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Rafael Añe took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pancho Frias. Pancho Frias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Geovanni Sanches took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised De-la-Cruz Alacan. De-la-Cruz Alacan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ubaldo Briñas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Moises Medrano. If Rafael Añe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urtsin Descarrega's late challenge caught a CD Cuajaron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urtsin Descarrega helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Liga de Quito fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! De-la-Cruz Alacan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Escobar Larrategui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by CD Cuajaron's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Urtsin Descarrega was slow to take the kick. During this time Liga de Quito's players had a chance to rest. In the 38th minute, Fernando Elosua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Segundo Cuetos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Añe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pancho Frias having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When Rafael Añe came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the CD Cuajaron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Añe couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Rafael Añe notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Liga de Quito's Pancho Frias. Pancho Frias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th match minute, CD Cuajaron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xabel Parcero to maneuver through the defense. De-la-Cruz Alacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Escobar Larrategui in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Xabel Parcero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Cuajaron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liga de Quito the free kick. A collision led to CD Cuajaron getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Xabel Parcero hit a great ball. De-la-Cruz Alacan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Escobar Larrategui, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rafael Añe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pancho Frias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Rafael Añe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pancho Frias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Segundo Cuetos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pancho Frias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Escobar Larrategui scored 3-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of De-la-Cruz Alacan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Xabel Parcero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xabel Parcero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pancho Frias having to interfere. Many of CD Cuajaron's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. CD Cuajaron may have spent more time on the ball, but Liga de Quito were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
