After a defensive mix-up in Semeria FC's zone, Gian-Carlo Viciola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Lebron came out of the goal and Gian-Carlo Viciola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Recondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justavino Guardia might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Lebron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justavino Guardia ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaramillo Olivos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Vitoria in the 26th minute of the match. Mauro Alamo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Alamo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 27 minutes into the game, one of Gramalote SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Semeria FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ur Castruita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gramalote SC's Jaramillo Olivos. 0-1. Fabio Recondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fortunato Vitoria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gramalote SC's Gian-Carlo Viciola got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gramalote SC's Jaramillo Olivos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Recondo in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Recondo to make the kick off. When Gian-Carlo Viciola came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gramalote SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gian-Carlo Viciola couldn't finish the play. Hector Lebron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justavino Guardia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Semeria FC's goalkeeper Hector Lebron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gramalote SC's Americo Covielles got a free kick in the 59th minute. Fortunato Vitoria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justavino Guardia in the 67th minute of play forced Semeria FC's goalkeeper Hector Lebron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Lebron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justavino Guardia in the 70th minute of the match. The referee gave Gramalote SC a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chalá Elenes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Semeria FC's Hector Lebron. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Justavino Guardia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Lebron was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 90th minute Gian-Carlo Viciola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Lebron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Fabio Recondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Semeria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Recondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 99th minute Justavino Guardia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Lebron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
