An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Rodero in the 6th minute of play forced UD Penipe's goalkeeper Obregón Miña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, UD Penipe's goal looked a bit too open when Hernando Rodero came free, but Obregón Miña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Hernando Rodero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Obregón Miña. UD Penipe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernando Rodero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Urtats Marines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Viego during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, UD Penipe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Viego to maneuver through the defense. Urtats Marines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to CD Chimba getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Victorino Argüelles hit a great ball. Ximeno Mariaza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzalo Montoro made a kick off. After 57 played minutes CD Chimba got a freekick which was hit by Vermudo Barrachina. If Urtats Marines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, UD Penipe's goalkeeper Obregón Miña had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urtats Marines. Urtats Marines struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Obregón Miña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Chimba. Denis Urrechua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximeno Mariaza, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Obregón Miña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Argüelles in the 83rd minute of the match. CD Chimba played a much better game than UD Penipe and deserved their victory. The UD Penipe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
