The CD Cronos fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when CD Cronos's Velasco Vallines looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 9th match minute, CD Cronos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Oreamuno to maneuver through the defense. Juan-Carlos Oresti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bustos Tamajon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Carcelén Chinchilla hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Danilo Francia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Arturo Ituarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes CD Cronos got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Francia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bustos Tamajon in the 18th minute of play forced CD Cronos's goalkeeper Juan-Carlos Oresti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of CD Cronos booed when Nagsiche FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justavino Pernia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Patricio Franco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Parrales Arguiz skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Francia in the 25th minute of play forced Nagsiche FC's goalkeeper Parrales Arguiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Ituarte's late challenge caught a CD Cronos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Ituarte helped the player get up and apologised. CD Cronos made a substitution. Carlos-Armando Piñan replaced Marcelo Camats. After a rather tough play, Nagsiche FC's Arturo Ituarte got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Danilo Francia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Parrales Arguiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danilo Francia went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Velasco Vallines struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Parrales Arguiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Cronos. Xaiver Barnuevo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. CD Cronos's Zilar Romero was substituted for Walter Dozal. Xaiver Barnuevo kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. Carlos-Armando Piñan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half CD Cronos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the CD Cronos defense, Bustos Tamajon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan-Carlos Oresti. The CD Cronos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan-Carlos Oresti should have stopped the shot. Velasco Vallines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Parrales Arguiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Velasco Vallines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parrales Arguiz having to interfere. Juan-Carlos Oresti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bustos Tamajon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan-Carlos Oresti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Galan went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A hard shot by Patricio Franco from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Parrales Arguiz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Nagsiche FC's Parrales Arguiz got control of the ball when Velasco Vallines tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, CD Cronos's goal looked a bit too open when Justavino Pernia came free, but Juan-Carlos Oresti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nagsiche FC's Parrales Arguiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Nagsiche FC from getting a goal against them. Rolando Galan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Velasco Vallines got free with Parrales Arguiz in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 90 minutes, Danilo Francia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Cronos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Francia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bustos Tamajon in the 92nd minute of play forced CD Cronos's goalkeeper Juan-Carlos Oresti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
