The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Granadillas SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Vanifa:s goal. Granadillas SC's Xacobo Bracho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Granadillas SC from getting a goal against them. Xeromo Churruca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Xepe Lavandera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CD Vanifa's Xepe Lavandera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Carlos Monteros in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Yépez Mugica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xepe Lavandera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan-Carlos Monteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Cordon in the 30th minute of play forced Granadillas SC's goalkeeper Xacobo Bracho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Juan-Carlos Monteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vasco Reñe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 40th playminute. Juan-Carlos Monteros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xepe Lavandera having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Cordon to strike the kick off in the second half. Xacobo Bracho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Cordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Fernando Cordon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xeromo Churruca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Fernando Cordon made a precise shot to the right of Xacobo Bracho. Granadillas SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 67 minutes into the match, Xeromo Churruca notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of CD Vanifa's Xepe Lavandera. Xepe Lavandera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juan-Carlos Monteros struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Xepe Lavandera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granadillas SC. Xacobo Bracho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Cordon went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, Xeromo Churruca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Xepe Lavandera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Granadillas SC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Klimovich Corvera hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Granadillas SC's Juan-Carlos Monteros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Granadillas SC played a much better game than CD Vanifa and deserved their victory. The CD Vanifa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
