Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leo Roca kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the game, Segundo Cigaran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedro Artache was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Segundo Cigaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Galapagos fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Galapagos's Luis Obaldia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Xacobo Sallas charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xacobo Sallas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Galapagos booed when Checo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xacobo Sallas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Galapagos's Luis Obaldia got a free kick in the 21st minute. Claudio Agüero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Pedro Artache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Galapagos's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Agüero came free, but Pedro Artache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Obaldia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rixon Aguinaga having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Checo FC's Segundo Cigaran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Artache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Leo Roca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rixon Aguinaga having to interfere. After the first half Checo FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segundo Cigaran to make the kick off. Leo Roca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rixon Aguinaga having to interfere. Xavier Pernau kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Luis Obaldia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Galapagos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claudio Agüero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Claudio Agüero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Pedro Artache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galapagos's Pedro Artache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Cigaran in the 86th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
