The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Carral kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Criban Canillas in the 14th minute of play forced Langunche's goalkeeper Xamin Velo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Foyo in the 15th minute of play forced Langunche's goalkeeper Xamin Velo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes, Navarro Cuerno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Langunche and the Kraken F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Langunche getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Navarro Cuerno hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Ricardo Fermoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xamin Velo skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute Criban Canillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xamin Velo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Kraken F.C.'s Edwin Foyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xamin Velo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Criban Canillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xamin Velo having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Edwin Foyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kraken F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Foyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute José Carral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xosepe Llanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Criban Canillas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guerrero Bugedo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Xosepe Llanez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Langunche. 46 minutes into the match, Kraken F.C.'s goalkeeper Xosepe Llanez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guerrero Bugedo. Langunche's Guerrero Bugedo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edwin Foyo to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that José Carral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xosepe Llanez was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. José Carral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Fidel Hilari suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Franklin Belber charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Belber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kraken F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Franklin Belber hit a great ball. Pedro Alsedar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guerrero Bugedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes of play, Langunche's Guerrero Bugedo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xosepe Llanez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Kraken F.C.'s Ricardo Fermoso got a free kick in the 74th minute. Guerrero Bugedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xosepe Llanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guerrero Bugedo in the 85th minute of play. Criban Canillas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guerrero Bugedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Xosepe Llanez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kraken F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Langunche.
