Javier Muños fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xilo Rionda having to interfere. Xofre Amo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Xilo Rionda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gloria Saltos getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gloria Saltos's Xilo Rionda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Muños in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th of the match, Bernardo Herriaga tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Christian Vega got in the way and made a wonderful save. Bernardo Herriaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Herriaga was the one to do the kick off.
