Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rocafuerte's Xuoco Mazo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Rojica in the 4th minute of play. Edgar Hierro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Hierro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Brito Verda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Edgar Hierro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rocafuerte's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Hierro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brito Verda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the game, Castillo Cribell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rocafuerte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canas SC the free kick. Castillo Cribell hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jorge Balza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brito Verda came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Balza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. Edgar Hierro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brito Verda having to make a save. In the 36th match minute, Canas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Sedan to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Hierro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Brito Verda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximo Para charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximo Para the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Canas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Para to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Balza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Brito Verda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Rojica to strike the kick off in the second half. Canas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Balza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Brito Verda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Balza in the 70th minute of play. Edgar Hierro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brito Verda having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Luis Sedan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canas SC and the Rocafuerte players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Sedan kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Jorge Balza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute, Emiliano Rojica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Teo Barajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canas SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xzavion Almazan was slow to take the kick. During this time Rocafuerte's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Rocafuerte's Xzavion Almazan to fire away a dangerous shot which Brito Verda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jorge Balza struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Brito Verda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rocafuerte. When Cotera Balderrama fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canas SC's protests and gave Cotera Balderrama a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Canas SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rocafuerte:s goal. Brito Verda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Balza's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. A collision led to Canas SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Maximo Para hit a great ball. Jorge Balza hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Brito Verda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Hierro went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Rocafuerte walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
