The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abel Piñeira came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gabicitos's Ruben Mazuelo. But to his dismay, Ruben Mazuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Los Gabicitos's Chatruc Cantoral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Alcalde in the 7th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Americo Alcalde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Gabicitos's Chatruc Cantoral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angel Oberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chatruc Cantoral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Americo Alcalde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chatruc Cantoral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Oberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Los Gabicitos booed when Paila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Alcalde didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Los Gabicitos's Ruben Mazuelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chatruc Cantoral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xan Area, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Oberto to strike the kick off in the second half. Angel Oberto hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Paila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Mazuelo came free, but Abel Piñeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Angel Oberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Xan Area hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Angel Oberto came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Paila FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Oberto couldn't finish the play. Americo Alcalde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Angel Oberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Angel Oberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Gabicitos's Chatruc Cantoral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th match minute, Los Gabicitos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidal Belon to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Alcivia shot from long distance in the 75th minute, but Chatruc Cantoral was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 76 played minutes Los Gabicitos got a freekick which was hit by Yago Cubero. Americo Alcalde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Chatruc Cantoral made a huge save. The supporters of Paila FC booed when Los Gabicitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidal Belon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Americo Alcalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chatruc Cantoral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Oberto in the 82nd minute of the match. When Xan Area fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paila FC's protests and gave Xan Area a yellow card for diving instead. Xan Area hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Alberto Hubieta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Piñeira skillfully saved the ball. Los Gabicitos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alberto Hubieta in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Los Gabicitos's Kaviedes Muñoa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Piñeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
