Celso Goztros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elkin Albaratay, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in CD Tukupi's zone, Rafael Fuica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Goztros came out of the goal and Rafael Fuica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Rafael Fuica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celso Goztros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 42nd match minute, CD Naranjada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Vellana to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, CD Tukupi's Marcelo Mancobo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, CD Naranjada's Esterilla Raimundo got control of the ball when Duarte Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. CD Naranjada's Rafael Fuica got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Rafael Fuica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Celso Goztros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, CD Naranjada's Rafael Fuica sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Goztros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celso Goztros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elkin Albaratay in the 58th minute.
