In the 7th match minute, Dunillin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lopez Fole to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Garnica in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Cañete saved Dunillin from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Evelio Amenabar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Cañete was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Xuan Incera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Pabon, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Leonel Garnica might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Cañete. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Garnica ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Amenabar in the 25th minute of play forced Dunillin's goalkeeper Roman Cañete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Cañete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Amenabar in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Tarume's goalkeeper Xuan Incera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roman Cañete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Garnica in the 29th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Simon Cobarrubias could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Xuan Incera however easily saved by the left post. Costante Junguito kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Dunillin's Roman Cañete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Ramires in the 40th minute of play. Simon Cobarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Simon Cobarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Simon Cobarrubias notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of UD Tarume's Xuan Incera. Xuan Incera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Dunillin's Chucho Barreras got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Chucho Barreras sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xuan Incera skillfully saved the ball. In the 75th minute Teodoro Pabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xuan Incera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Amenabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Cañete having to interfere. If Leonel Garnica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 82 played minutes, UD Tarume's Omar Ramires shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roman Cañete came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UD Tarume reached it. If Teodoro Pabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xuan Incera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Cobarrubias in the 97th minute of play. UD Tarume's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
