After 15 minutes, Lorenzo Santo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talchigacho and the Calabi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lorenzo Santo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ur Cicero made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Chatruc Ceballo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Talchigacho booed when Calabi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bagui Munne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Talchigacho were awarded a corner. Abel Vicastillo went to the cornerflag to take it. Abel Vicastillo made a great header on Talchigacho's corner, it was just that Calabi's Ur Cicero managed to reach the ball for a save. Cevallos Sagastia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calle Argüero's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Yoel Beneitez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Virila Herruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Vinicio Reneros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cevallos Sagastia skillfully saved the ball. Ur Cicero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chatruc Ceballo in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Calabi getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jairo Vuelvetoros hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Renán Donis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cevallos Sagastia, 1-1. In the 65th minute, Calle Argüero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renán Donis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cevallos Sagastia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Talchigacho's Virila Herruz got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Renán Donis came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Calabi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renán Donis couldn't finish the play. Bagui Munne hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Calabi's goal looked a bit too open when Carcelén Llera came free, but Ur Cicero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Talchigacho's Cevallos Sagastia got control of the ball when Renán Donis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ur Cicero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chatruc Ceballo in the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Renán Donis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calabi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renán Donis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
