Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ambato United FC's Roque Gayo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Angelita FC's Espínola Rosello got a free kick in the 4th minute. Roque Gayo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aires Gavilan having to make a save. After having played for 7 minutes, Espinola Orcajo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ambato United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Espinola Orcajo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aires Gavilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Espinola Orcajo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Ambato United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Dean came free, but Venceslao Villayuste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ambato United FC's Venceslao Villayuste got control of the ball when Guamán Camara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aires Gavilan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Gayo in the 35th minute of the match. Guamán Camara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Dean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Venceslao Villayuste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Dean was the one to do the kick off. Venceslao Villayuste made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 68th minute Guamán Camara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venceslao Villayuste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes in the game, Roque Gayo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aires Gavilan having to interfere. In the 74th minute of the match, Espinola Orcajo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aires Gavilan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ambato United FC's Venceslao Villayuste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Dean in the 76th minute of play. Espinola Orcajo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 played minutes Ambato United FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Luciano. Roque Gayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Aires Gavilan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Oscar Dean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Roque Gayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aires Gavilan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Angelita FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xaime Matallana was slow to take the kick. During this time Ambato United FC's players had a chance to rest. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
