The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Suárez Cieza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Beamud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute, Santiago Hompanera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Carcelén Muzquiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Suárez Cieza. CD Guayusa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carcelén Muzquiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zarando Ruilopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zarando Ruilopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Alejandro Iribe made a huge save. CD Guayusa's Suárez Cieza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Beamud in the 17th minute of play. Santiago Hompanera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alejandro Iribe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Suárez Cieza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carcelén Muzquiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. CD Guayusa's Zarando Ruilopez came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Alejandro Iribe had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Moral's goalkeeper Alejandro Iribe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alejandro Iribe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zarando Ruilopez in the 34th minute. Santiago Hompanera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CD Guayusa's Suárez Cieza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Beamud in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauricio Beamud made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Mauricio Beamud fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Suárez Cieza, passed just outside the right post. Suárez Cieza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Traveso in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Zarando Ruilopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Iribe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Hompanera struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Alejandro Iribe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Guayusa. Suárez Cieza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Traveso in the 94th minute of play. Patricio Ruedas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
