Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bolona FC's Augusto Lombas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Francisco Chirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Bolona FC's Augusto Lombas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Chirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jerson Coria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Chirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerson Coria in the 10th minute of the match. If Jerson Coria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Lombas in the 13th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Francisco Chirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Buedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Barreda having to interfere. If Texeira Barajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Ricote blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Barreda having to make a save. Maximiliano Buedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bolona FC's Pavel Barreda got control of the ball when Fortunato Ricote tried to sneak it across the goal line. Liga de Quito's Francisco Chirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerson Coria in the 39th minute of play. If Jerson Coria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jerson Coria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerson Coria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Chirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Maximiliano Buedo made the kick off in the second half. Fiallos Imendia's late challenge caught a Liga de Quito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fiallos Imendia helped the player get up and apologised. Fiallos Imendia hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Maximiliano Buedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Robla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maximiliano Buedo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Liga de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Buedo couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Maximiliano Buedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pavel Barreda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Texeira Barajas fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga de Quito's protests and gave Texeira Barajas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Texeira Barajas got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Francisco Chirino stood somewhat misplaced when Jerson Coria came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Francisco Chirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Lombas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerson Coria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Francisco Chirino made a huge save. Augusto Lombas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Francisco Chirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yaniusky Llorente kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Maximiliano Buedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Barreda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maximiliano Buedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
