The supporters of Salinas City F.C. booed when CD Ortencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cántaro Subiza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Edison Arenchen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salinas City F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 22 minutes of play, Salinas City F.C.'s Ascencio Says made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilson Villaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xayveon Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Acitores in the 25th minute of play. Urritz Besteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Acitores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xayveon Rico having to interfere. Lucas Fonte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Xayveon Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Fonte in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xayveon Rico saved Salinas City F.C. from getting behind. In the 44th minute, Lucas Fonte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Urritz Besteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Xayveon Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Salinas City F.C.'s Xosepin Chirivoga got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xayveon Rico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urritz Besteiro in the 57th minute of the match. When Lucas Fonte fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Ortencia's protests and gave Lucas Fonte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, CD Ortencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Fonte to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Salinas City F.C.'s Edison Arenchen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vilson Villaro. That made the score 2-3 after 63 minutes of play. When Cántaro Subiza came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the CD Ortencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cántaro Subiza couldn't finish the play. Vilson Villaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edison Arenchen, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Edison Arenchen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Fonte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Xayveon Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, CD Ortencia's Mario Acitores sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xayveon Rico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramírez Hedesa kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Urritz Besteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xayveon Rico was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. 88 minutes into the game, Emilio Mazmela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Ortencia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salinas City F.C. the free kick. Emilio Mazmela kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, CD Ortencia's Vilson Villaro got control of the ball when Romo Macua tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaramillo Digon got free with Vilson Villaro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xayveon Rico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cántaro Subiza in the 93rd minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Ascencio Says mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salinas City F.C. and the CD Ortencia players grew even worse after the yellow card.
