Eugenio Borines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Coro in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of UD Huahualcay booed when Barcelona S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Coro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Xinaro Buraga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Gabriel skillfully saved the ball. If Zosimo Baca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George Gabriel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velasco Luga in the 16th minute of play. Loco Mazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Borines having to interfere. Zosimo Baca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Eugenio Borines when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With 25 minutes on the clock, Sergio Caceo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 24 minutes into the game, one of UD Huahualcay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Loco Mazon walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. A collision led to Barcelona S.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fidel Prado hit a great ball. When Velasco Luga came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the UD Huahualcay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Velasco Luga couldn't finish the play. Javier Coro kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Barcelona S.C.'s Zosimo Baca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugenio Borines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eugenio Borines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zosimo Baca in the 39th minute of the match. Barcelona S.C.'s Javier Coro got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Javier Coro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Coro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zosimo Bacas short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Eugenio Borines to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Velasco Luga made a kick off. Barcelona S.C.'s George Gabriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Carlos Gorostarzu in the 57th minute of play. Eugenio Borines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ortíz Bares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Velasco Luga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Velasco Luga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Zosimo Baca sped through UD Huahualcay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugenio Borines. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Zosimo Baca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zosimo Baca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Borines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Barcelona S.C. fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Barcelona S.C.'s Zosimo Baca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
