After a rather tough play, Barcelona S.C.'s Javier Coro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zosimo Baca in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Aizaran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Javier Coro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Gabriel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Bargas went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Loco Mazon fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona S.C.'s protests and gave Loco Mazon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Barcelona S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loco Mazon to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match Pepito Plasencia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Gabriel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Zosimo Baca sped through Guayrapungo SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luis Aizaran. Ortíz Bares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Aizaran having to interfere. Luis Aizaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zosimo Baca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Javier Coro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
