Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Trota Berzosa came free, but Efrain Ceniceros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. René Pellicer charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed René Pellicer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CD Salado getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. René Pellicer hit a great ball. Trota Berzosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Efrain Ceniceros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Clemente Conti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Salado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to CD Salado getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Venceslao Solanos hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Trota Berzosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Ceniceros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Conti might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Ceniceros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clemente Conti ran back to his position shaking his head. Efrain Ceniceros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Conti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Ceniceros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trota Berzosa in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Trota Berzosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Salado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trota Berzosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Trota Berzosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Diaz Castañera fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Diaz Castañera a yellow card for diving instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Efrain Ceniceros was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Trota Berzosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Trota Berzosa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Trota Berzosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeru Calzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Tello in the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Villafuerte Ucieda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Salado the free kick. In the 69th minute, Villafuerte Ucieda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in CD Salado's zone, Inocencio Tello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeru Calzon came out of the goal and Inocencio Tello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zoilo Posadas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeru Calzon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Independiente's Efrain Ceniceros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. In the 77thth minute of the game Trota Berzosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Efrain Ceniceros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Trota Berzosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente's Efrain Ceniceros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. Clemente Conti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Efrain Ceniceros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zeru Calzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Tello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Contis short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Efrain Ceniceros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Independiente fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CD Salado were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
