Vela Urdaneta, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Green Lanterns United's goal looked a bit too open when Rey Cantoral came free, but Costante Gallaiztegui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costante Gallaiztegui was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Lucas Logroño capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucas Logroño really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Guamán Balaunde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Costante Gallaiztegui made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rey Cantoral in the 35th minute of play forced Green Lanterns United's goalkeeper Costante Gallaiztegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match, Guamán Balaunde got a very nice opportunity to score, but Costante Gallaiztegui was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rey Cantoral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Green Lanterns United's zone, Rey Cantoral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costante Gallaiztegui came out of the goal and Rey Cantoral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Guamán Balaunde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpargata CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guamán Balaunde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Guamán Balaunde fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Borja Enciso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zadornin Cerrajeria in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rey Cantoral made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Alpargata CF's Guamán Balaunde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costante Gallaiztegui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Costante Gallaiztegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guamán Balaunde in the 56th minute of the match.
