When Fausto Guiluz came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Green Lanterns United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Guiluz couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, Ferrer Sotelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Purcay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Lanterns United the free kick. After 26 played minutes CD Purcay got a freekick which was hit by Ferrer Sotelo. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Zadornin Cerrajeria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Lanterns United's supporters rose to their feet, but Zadornin Cerrajeria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xabel Sirguero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferrer Sotelo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Fausto Guiluz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Green Lanterns United's zone, Stalin Cañarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costante Gallaiztegui came out of the goal and Stalin Cañarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Rene Piñan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Purcay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Piñan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferrer Sotelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Costante Gallaiztegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Piñan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costante Gallaiztegui having to interfere. If Rene Piñan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Purcay's Xabel Sirguero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Guiluz in the 85th minute of play. Stalin Cañarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Bustillos charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Xabel Sirguero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Guiluz went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. CD Purcay were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Green Lanterns United to leave the ground with a draw.
